Knife Edge
In June 2021, G&M Design gallery hosted one of the most unique exhibitions in our history. Knife Edge, the first exhibition in Monaco by British artist Mark Evans, had the distinction of featuring artworks created not on paper or canvas, but entirely on leather.
Inspired by an incident long ago when he accidentally scratched his leather jacket, Evans has spent the last 20 years working with animal skins from all over the world. Having honed his skills in both tanning his own leather and then engraving it with a variety of different knives and scalpels, Mark Evans has become one of the most exceptional and in-demand artists around today.
