‘Where’s my Stash?’

“IN THIS EXHIBITION I AM NOT ANGRY, SADDENED OR VENGEFUL I AM NOT MAKING A POLITICAL STATEMENT.
l am not for, nor against, lost nor found.
I’m not trying to make you guess. Rather simply in fact, I am sitting in these beautiful moments that surround us, the ones we don’t always stop to see and allow ourselves to feel. That moment when the light was so beautiful… that night when the house across road with the great big tree looked so alive.
The flowers were my lockdown lovers… oh how they kept me company, doing nothing but being beautiful.

When I look at this world, I want to notice the beauty that is in the small things. For example, and this is just one, an Iris. Have you ever seen anything more lovely than the shape and twists of those petals? They grow as if they are performing, as if in human form the audience would scream and shout Bravo!
I want to feel the joy in that tiny moment. And then I want to string all those tiny moments together and make a painting.
I will never tire of the wonder of flowers… of the outside.
Of the everyday.” – STASHA
